Absolutely! With the highest USDA food rating of any roof product in the nation there is no need to worry. This product will not harm the most important tings in your life.

Soft washing is a low pressure application of water and cleaning solution, typically Sodium Hypochlorite or SH that will kill organic growth on your asphalt shingle roof. We combine SH with a surfactant which is a soaping agent to help the SH stick to the roof better and reduce runoff during the dwell time, as well as lift surface stains.

* This process is recommended, but not required to be completed prior to Peak 301 application to give the bet results. Plus it will make the roof look so much newer!

Soft washing has less impact on the surface that it comes in contact with and instead relies on chemicals to do the heavy lifting. Roof cleaning with high pressure washing can lead to permanent and total damage of the system and may require expensive repairs. We do offer pressure washing services but they are mostly for concrete and decking.

In short, SH is commonly known as bleach. We utilize a commercial strength solution that is specially made for this purpose and not available at local stores. This is not applied in a concentrated form, but diluted to a safe level for application. We take preventative measures including pre and post rinsing of your home and its  surroundings.

In most cases the answer is yes! With the combination of SH and surfactant in most cases a single application will treat and remove most if not all roof staining caused by algae, mold, and lichens. Occasionally a small touch up process is required after initial application, but we will cover those concerns during the washing process. This is the cases with almost all types of roofing materials.
